How to publish and edit content
Before publishing, prepare:
- Create a content template (see [How to create content templates])
- Create content categories
- If the content needs tags, add content tags (you can select them when publishing)
- To switch languages, first add languages in Enterprise CMS → Language Management (see [How to configure multi-language support])
Entry
- Open the current project, then go to Enterprise CMS → Content List.
- Click the three dots in the top right, then click + New Note.
- The New Article page opens.
1. Basic information
- Choose Article type.
- In Template, pick a content template you already created.
- Templates come from Content Template Management.
- The Other fields below change with the template: whatever the template defines is what you see.
- Fill in parent article ID, visibility, and multi-chapter as needed.
- Complete the Other items shown for this template (images, video, price, and so on).
2. Content editor
- Choose Current language (options come from Language Management).
- Check Set as primary language if needed.
- Enter Title (required), plus subtitle, content type, and summary.
- Enter Body (required).
3. Categories and tags
- Check Article categories (from Content Category Management).
- If you created tags, check Article tags.
- Check Related regions if needed.
4. Settings
If the content is public, generally leave these blank: data classification level, readability control, and readability config. After the earlier tabs, click Publish in the top right.
Only fill those fields when you need to restrict access. Then you can choose a classification level, readability control, and click + Add.
Publish
Click Publish in the top right.
The first time you click Publish, the item is still only a draft. It is not actually published yet.
To really publish it:
- Go back to Content List.
- Open that item and click Edit.
- Click Publish again.
Only the second publish makes it live.
Done when
The item appears in Content List. After the second publish, the status is published, not draft.
