How to assign user permissions
Audience: front-end end users
Permissions are two steps: configure roles → give roles to members.
1. Configure roles (Permission Management)
- Human Resources → Permission Management
![Permission Management]
2. Add or edit a role: fill in name, display name, description, type, level, and similar fields
3. Configure navigation menu permissions (which sidebar modules a member can see)
4. Configure resource permissions (actions on each data type)
5. Save. System roles usually cannot be deleted
2. Assign to a member (User Management)
- Open User Management
- Target member row menu → Set role
- Choose the role. For department admin / team admin, choose the scope as prompted (departments including children, teams, and similar)
- After save, ask the member to open Projects again and check the sidebar and actions
Notes
- Navigation permissions may be limited by the current project plan.
- Do not give everyday collaboration accounts a high admin role.
